I was the first Democrat to flip Illinois' 6th Congressional District in nearly half a century.

It took a lot of work then -- and it's going to take just as much work, preparation, and organizing (if not more!) to defend this battleground seat this election.

National Republicans have already named defeating me as one of their top priorities in 2020. And now that House GOP Leader Kevin McCarthy has advanced my right-wing opponent to the top level of his recruitment program, outside groups will be investing heavily to help her defeat me.
