Senate Majority Leader John Thune plans to have a vote on the budget as soon as this week. This mean decisions about cuts to Medicaid could advance in a matter of days.

In February, the House voted to approve a budget resolution that proposed at least $880 billion dollars in cuts to Medicaid. Now, the Senate will vote on its budget, which will determine if these cuts move forward.
