Dear Comrades,
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us on Sunday for our priority-setting conversation! It was inspiring to see both new and longtime members engaging in deep discussions about the future of our chapter and the actions we can take to build power in Santa Fe. Together, we identified key priorities, including active recruitment and coalition-building with like-minded organizations, strengthening our efforts around housing legislation at both the local and state levels—potentially including lobbying at the 2026 legislative session—and expanding our capacity to engage in local electoral politics.
This conversation was just the beginning, and your energy and insights have set the stage for meaningful organizing in the months ahead. We’re excited to translate these priorities into action and ensure that our work remains rooted in collective decision-making and solidarity. Stay tuned for upcoming meetings where we’ll develop concrete steps for implementation, and as always, reach out if you want to get more involved. Let’s keep building together!

The U.S. Department of Energy’s National Nuclear Security Administration has published its Draft Site-Wide Environment Impact Statement (SWEIS) for Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL). The SWEIS analyzes potential environmental impacts of LANL operations for the next 15 years.
This is a crucial opportunity to lift up your voice to express concerns about LANL’s impact on our communities. Our friends at Honor Our Pueblo Existence (HOPE) and Concerned Citizens for Nuclear Safety have put together a letter you can send to the LANL SWEIS document manager. |
