Why we are 350: Scientists overwhelmingly agree that 350ppm CO2 is the upper limit to sustain life as humans have lived it. For more than 800,000 years atmospheric CO2 varied between roughly 180 to 280ppm.

   Our Earth passed 350ppm CO2 during 1988!

Mauna Loa Observatory - We are now approaching 430ppm!

Hands Off! South-East Wisconsin Fights Back
Federal Building, 517 E Wisconsin Ave, Milwaukee
Saturday, April 5, 12 - 2pm

About this event
**Donald Trump and Elon Musk think this country belongs to them. South-East Wisconsin is fighting back at the Federal Building location!

They're taking everything they can get their hands on—our health care, our data, our jobs, our services—and daring the world to stop them. This is a crisis, and the time to act is now.

🚨 On Saturday, April 5th, we're taking to the streets to fight back with a clear message: Hands off! 🚨

📍 Where: Federal Building, 517 E Wisconsin Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53202 📅 When: 12 pm, April 5, 2025

This mass mobilization day is our message to the world that we do not consent to the destruction of our government and our economy for the benefit of Trump and his billionaire allies. Alongside Americans across the country, we are marching, rallying, and protesting to demand a stop the chaos and build an opposition movement against the looting of our country.

A core principle behind all Hands Off! events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values. We must be respectful, not be in the street, and not block access to the front doors

The UNA of Greater Milwaukee invites you to become informed on the “Crisis within the Climate Crisis” as we celebrate Earth Day on April 22nd . The federal government under the Trump Administration is severely cutting and eliminating funding for programs that address environmental problems.

Environmental advocates Julie Byrnes Enslow and Dean Muller will address the challenges they face in advocating for the safety of the planet and the lives of people affected by climate change.

________________________
Julie Byrnes Enslow is a leader in the Milwaukee chapter of 350.org, the international climate action group that has organized many demonstrations addressing climate change.  She developed presentations on Militarism and Climate Change that were
given nationally and at World Social Forums. Julie was a key organizer of the 20th anniversary of Earth Day, which attracted 16,000 people to downtown Milwaukee.  As a leader of Wisconsin Peace Action, she focused on many issues including moving money from militarism to human needs.

Dean Muller is the president of Wisconsin for Environmental Justice (WEJ), working to get the state, cities, and counties to pursue litigation against the fossil fuel industry for climate damages.  WEJ seeks to increase the public's awareness of the connection between fossil fuels and climate change and how it affects our daily lives.
Dean will update us on national litigation and his efforts here in Wisconsin.  It’s about fairness for Wisconsin’s taxpayers.  WEJ’s goal is to build a statewide community of organizations and individuals that will effectively bring about the change we need to meet the challenges of climate change
