A message from Attorney General Eric H. Holder, Jr. on the Wisconsin Supreme Court election results:
John,

Votes are more powerful than dollars.

This election was a battle between Musk Money and democracy, and this victory is a testament to the real power of the people.

When Republicans — and the billionaires they are beholden to — tried to buy an extreme right-wing majority on Wisconsin’s highest court to act as a “support network” for Trump, Wisconsinites said hell no.

Here is the lesson from Wisconsin: we, the citizens of this great country, have the actual power. We can protect economic rights, voting rights, reproductive rights, and we can protect our democracy as long as we participate in the electoral process.

We go on from here to reclaim our nation.

— Eric H. Holder, Jr.
82nd Attorney General of the United States
