John, let us all congratulate my friend and colleague Sen. Cory Booker for having the courage and stamina to stand up to Donald Trump and extremist Republicans in his record-breaking speech on the Senate floor yesterday. 

Of course, this wasn't about setting a record (though I'm sure all of us can agree, we're thrilled this one is no longer held by a segregationist arguing against civil rights). It was about raising the alarm on the many, many ways the Trump administration's policies are harming our families. 

Cory's speech covered a number of the issues I know folks across the country are most worried about right now: health care, Social Security, the economy, education, free speech and more. I was incredibly proud to stand up on the floor and lend my support, even for just a few moments.

And I want to make one thing clear: This was also a call to action for all of us – to continue speaking out, fighting for what's right and, as he and the great John Lewis said, get in some good trouble.

That's why I'm asking you to chip in now to help elect Democrats who will fight back. Donate to make it clear to Trump and his far-right allies that we're not backing down. Every single dollar will help Democrats like Cory Booker keep fighting for our shared values and retake Senate control in 2026 so we can actually make progress for working families.
