John: the events of the last few weeks have shown starkly that we need to do more to address long-term disparities in black and brown communities.

That's why yesterday Roy announced the creation of a task force dedicated to addressing disparities in North Carolina that are being highlighted and intensified by this pandemic.

There's a lot of work to be done, but this task force will strive to expand North Carolina's efforts to help recover from the COVID-19 pandemic and improve access to affordable healthcare and quality economic opportunities for everyone in our state.

This is an important step forward, but this work can't be done alone, John.

We hope everyone is staying safe during this ongoing health emergency. The Cooper Campaign is now working remotely, and we encourage all those who are able to practice social distancing.
