joined Rachel Maddow to talk about how Donald Trump is putting our
democracy at risk and what our campaign is doing to stop him.

[ [link removed] ]I’ll explain more in just a moment, but if you already know you’re with

Right now Trump is putting our democracy at risk, and it’s critical that
we help people understand what’s happened during periods of democratic
backsliding in other countries, especially regarding the resistance
movements that emerge to fight back.

That’s exactly why we launched the Resistance Labs.

We’ve developed a curriculum to help folks understand how to go after the
pillars of support that allow dictators to remain in power, and how to
shift allies from being passive opponents to being active supporters of
the resistance movement.

Threaded throughout are Dr. King’s principles of nonviolent resistance,
and we work to plug people into actions that are happening right now in
their communities, and also to prepare folks for potential moments of
coordinated resistance and mass action in the future.

It was amazing to see more than 1,500 people from 31 states join last
weekend’s training, and we have even more planned in the near future. No
matter how bad things get, I’m inspired by this movement’s resilience and
willingness to fight back.
