Dear John,

I just wrapped up moderating NIAC’s bipartisan Congressional Briefing on Capitol Hill with The American Conservative’s Curt Mills, Center for International Policy’s Negar Mortazavi, and our own Jamal Abdi.

We hosted this briefing at a critical time. The U.S. has reportedly positioned advanced stealth bombers in the region that many believe could be utilized in an attack on Iran. Hawks in Washington are beating the war drums, and are hellbent on spoiling efforts towards diplomacy so the bombing can begin.

But a diplomatic resolution is possible. Most don’t get it - or pretend not to. What is in America’s interest is not more war, it’s negotiations toward peace.

We are doubling down to get this message to policymakers on both sides of the aisle, and we invite you to join us virtually tomorrow at 12:00 PM ET/ 9:00 AM PT when we will be re-streaming our briefing on YouTube and other social media platforms.

tune in VIRTUALLYThis is a critical time in the contest between war and peace. It is thanks to supporters like you that we are able to do this important work to fight for peace. I hope you will tune in tomorrow and stay tuned for further updates.
