John, I'll be blunt — yesterday did not go the way any of us wanted. Our candidates, campaigns, the state party, county parties, and outside groups gave this everything we had. I want to thank all the candidates up and down the ballot who stepped forward to represent our Conservative values on the ballot this spring, along with YOU, the grassroots, for the support network you provided to the party and our candidates. This election was the most expensive Supreme Court race in history. In 2023, the Democrats transferred millions to Protesiewicz, but Republicans did not utilize this method. In 2025, Republicans made massive strides to close the gap with Democrat spending, including transferring a record $11 million to the Schimel and Kinser campaigns. Coming off a successful November, where the win in Wisconsin put President Trump over 270, we knew the April elections would be challenging, so the party made unprecedented efforts to assist our candidates. The WisGOP maintained field staff and expanded minority outreach with four dedicated staff members focused on coalition building. We also invested in 3 targeted radio ads geared towards Hispanic and African American voters, made over 2.5 million voter contacts, and invested nearly $110,000 towards our Farm Team Initiative to win local races. In other positive news, our nationally recognized Election Integrity efforts have continued to make progress. We scored a huge victory winning the Voter ID Constitutional Amendment. Our team set a Spring Election record with over 2,700 election observer shifts filled. They addressed 370 reported election integrity issues between early voting and Election Day and worked closely with municipal clerks and counties to ensure that polls remained open despite power outages in Northern Wisconsin. I want to thank Brad Schimel and Brittany Kinser, who stepped forward to represent our Conservative values on the ballot this spring. Conservatives scored upwards of 100 victories across the state in local elections, and our campaign to enshrine Voter ID in the Constitution was recognized around the country. Looking forward, in 2026, we have the opportunity to remain united and make a stand against Tony Evers’ far-left agenda and defend President Trump’s America First policies. We need to keep fighting, continue strategizing, and bring victories for Republicans in the future. Keep up the fight, Chairman Brian Schimming |
