State park areas see improvements
Visitors to various state parks will see recent improvements and other updates in the works, such as major camping upgrades, new amenities, river access for kayakers, repairs from historic flooding and more.
We'll be providing updates one area of the state at a time. So far, you can read about upgrades in northeastern, north-central and south-central Nebraska; stay tuned for more!

New TV episode highlights Nebraska state parks
Get a sneak peek at what awaits you this summer at three unique Nebraska state parks. In Season 5 of RV There Yet?, hosts Kevin and Patrice traveled to Nebraska to film at Ponca State Park, Fort Atkinson State Historical Park and Danish Alps State Recreation Area.

Get ready for morel season at state parks
The very first morels have emerged for the season, so now is a great time to plan for finding your own. These delectable mushrooms are just one part of what makes the spring outdoors so amazing.
Morel hunting is allowed at state parks, state recreation areas and wildlife management areas managed by Nebraska Game and Parks. Other properties may have restrictions, and it's absolutely essential to ask permission before hunting on private land. Find resources like foraging tips, morel recipes and more at our website.

 Rainbow trout stocked in park waters
Bring your fishing pole on your next state park visit! This month, Nebraska Game and Parks will continue to stock rainbow trout in public waters across the state, including several state parks.
