Africa & Europe
- Pray for a documentary and anti-trafficking campaign that will be produced next week by a news agency in Ghana. The documentary will feature one of the rescues IJM supported. Pray that this brings needed attention to the issue and the importance of holding traffickers accountable on Lake Volta.
Latin America
- Praise God for six women, including a 14-year-old girl, who are now free from sexual exploitation in the Dominican Republic. Amidst COVID-19 restrictions, IJM assisted Dominican authorities in this rescue operation and the arrests of five suspects — three American Citizens, a Haitian National and a Dominican. Pray for our team members as they continue to support the prosecutor's office to bring justice in this case. And pray for the survivors as they begin their process of restoration and healing.

South Asia
-
Praise God for an amazing rescue operation this week that freed 526 people from bonded labor at two large brick kilns. IJM had been investigating one of these kilns for several months, as the families inside narrated heartbreaking stories of forced labor, hunger and deprivation. We helped the government run a rescue operation on Monday to free 282 from the first kiln, but then families in a neighboring site begged to be rescued as well. We are so thankful for our well-trained government partners who acted quickly to bring everyone to safety and get them home. Pray for these families as they begin recovering from trauma and rebuilding life in freedom, and pray that follow-up arrests of the kiln owners will happen soon.
Southeast Asia
- Praise God for an arrest in May of a suspected Cambodian trafficker who was on the run for three years. This man repeatedly trafficked men from Cambodia into the Thai fishing industry. Pray that the court cases against this man would move forward and justice would be done.
