My friend
Cory Booker stood on the Senate floor for 25 hours and 5 minutes
yesterday.

He shared the testimony of some of the 69 million Americans who need
Medicare and Medicaid to see a doctor or get their lifesaving
prescriptions.

He gave voice to students whose future Trump is harming by dismantling the
Department of Education.

He spoke for the immigrants who’ve been snatched off the street or from
their homes by ICE, disappeared to detention centers or deported without
due process.

While speaking, he broke the record previously held by Strom Thurmond for
the longest floor speech of 24 hours and 18 minutes to oppose the Civil
Rights Act.

As Cory shared, these are not normal times in our nation. And I agree. I
joined him on the floor last night to sound the alarm on Trump and Musk’s
scheme to indirectly cut Social Security benefits.

Donald Trump and Elon Musk are literally taking a chainsaw to our
government right in front of our faces — and we can't be business as
usual. There are still levers Democrats can pull — from Congressional
oversight, to using procedural tactics, to leveraging the courts.

We need to fight with every tool we have to expose the corruption at play,
mitigate this administration's damage, make the case for our party to
adopt bold policies that support working people, and inspire voters with
an alternative path forward.

is one example of how Senate Democrats can show up — and Cory and I are
going to continue to pull every lever we have to keep up this fight. If
