John,
This is another step in a long line of disinformation.
Donald Trump and too many of his allies have spent years spreading distortions about our elections—spreading conspiracy theories, attacking election officials, and trying to make it harder for Americans to vote.
Now, with the stroke of a pen, Trump has signed an executive order that could upend our elections and block millions of eligible Americans from the ballot box.
This order would:
🛑 Require documentary proof of citizenship for voter registration—a costly and confusing burden that could strip voting rights from married women, seniors, students, and veterans.
🛑 Ban states from counting ballots that arrive after Election Day—even if they were sent on time.
🛑 Impose unnecessary restrictions on voter registration programs—making it harder to reach eligible voters.
This isn’t just about election security. It’s about making voting unnecessarily hard for some of the people President Trump doesn’t want to hear from.
As Minnesota’s Secretary of State, I’ve fought to expand voter access, protect election integrity, and push back against disinformation. I won’t let this executive order go unchallenged. I’m working with legal experts, election officials, and leaders from both parties to push back.
But I need your help.
This is our moment to show that we won’t be intimidated—that we will fight for the right of every eligible voter to have their voice heard. Will you chip in $10, $25, or whatever you can to help us push back against this attack on voting rights?

The stakes couldn’t be higher. This isn’t just about one executive order—it’s about the future of our democracy. And we don’t have a second to waste.
Let’s fight back together. Chip in now →
Thank you,
Steve
