When I took the stage at the SAG Awards earlier this year, I spoke from the heart about issues that matter deeply to me—the legacy of activism and protest in Hollywood, the importance of empathy, and the dire need for all of us to give a damn in this moment.

If we’re serious about building a firewall of resistance against this administration—and I’m dead serious—we need to come together like never before.

That means putting pressure on our elected officials to do the right thing, and if they won’t, replacing them with leaders who will.

That takes a big tent. We need to bridge the divides that may separate us—including generational ones.

I’m 87 years old, and I’m committed to doing everything I can. But for this movement to last, we must empower the next generation of leaders and activists to carry the torch forward.

I’ll be teaming up with some seasoned show business and advocacy veterans, including Dolores Huerta, Whoopi Goldberg, and Tony Goldwyn in a friendly competition against rising stars like Beanie Feldstein and Quannah ChasingHorse in a battle of the brains.

In between rounds of trivia, we’ll discuss the importance of multigenerational organizing and our fight to elect a new wave of leaders who will stand up for a livable future.
