John —
Elon Musk spent a record $25 million to try and win a critical state Supreme Court seat in Wisconsin yesterday.
We just handed him a huge and embarrassing loss.
Last night, Wisconsin voters loudly rejected Elon Musk, Donald Trump, and Brad Schimel — giving a landslide victory to WIWFP-endorsed Judge Susan Crawford:
We just proved that we CAN beat billionaires like Elon Musk when we have the resources to fight back. If you can, please chip in today to help fund our work to recruit the next generation of working-class candidates at every level of elected office and take the fight directly to the billionaires.

Elon thought that spending $25 million on ads, showing up for rallies, and even trying to buy people’s votes for $1 million each would help get his hand-picked MAGA candidate over the finish line.
That strategy fell apart more quickly than a Cybertruck.
This election was the first real test of “the people vs. Musk” — a story that the Wisconsin Working Families Party started talking with voters about in the early days of this race.
And it was the first statewide test of the opposition movement against greedy politicians like Donald Trump and Brad Schimel and the billionaires like Musk who back them.
To meet this challenge, the Wisconsin Working Families Party executed one of its largest spring field programs ever, resulting in:
-
25,606 1-on-1 conversations with voters via canvassing and phones.
- 703 volunteers sending 36,868 personal postcards to voters.
- A $15,000 paid digital ad campaign to reach our targeted voter audience with messages around public safety (funded entirely by small-dollar contributions from WFP members like you!).
- And overall, we reached out to voters 661,330 times, had 44,841 successful conversations, and identified 15,408 voters for Judge Susan Crawford.
To billionaires like Elon, spending $25 million to try and buy an election is pocket change. And this won’t be the last time they try to do so. But together, we just proved something very important: when working people come together across our differences to fight back, we can beat them.
But in order to keep doing this, we need the resources to keep on supporting candidates and organizing on the ground to help them win. If you are able, please make a contribution today to the Working Families Party — and let’s make this the first of many defeats for the billionaires this cycle.
