That's why I'm running for Congress.
John,
My name is Deja Foxx, and I’m running in the special election to represent Arizona's 7th Congressional District because this moment demands for more young, working class leaders to step up and fight for what’s right.

John, at a moment when public services and working families are under attack by Donald Trump, Elon Musk, and their billionaire buddies, we need advocates in Washington who have lived the struggles that the people in our communities face daily.
I'm stepping up to run because I've lived it.
I was born and grew up in Tucson. I’m a free lunch kid who was raised by a single mom, went to public school, relied on SNAP benefits, experienced homelessness as a teenager, and worked at a gas station in high school just to make ends meet.
I've been organizing around economic opportunity, gun violence prevention, and reproductive freedom for almost a decade. What guides my work as an advocate and organizer is the same thing that will guide my work in Congress: The desire to help families like mine experience safety and security in their lives. We deserve a future where no matter where you're from or how much money your parents make, you have a shot at getting ahead.
But what we've been doing isn't working – we don't need more politicians, we need more fighters.
John, that's why I'm stepping up to join a new generation of leaders who are ready to fight back against Donald Trump and Elon Musk on Day 1.
But I'm running in a special election. That means my election is right around the corner in 2025, and we're expecting low voter turnout.
With the slim Republican majority, every seat matters. There is too much on the line to ignore this election, and that's why I'm asking if you'll become an early supporter of new leadership.
If you believe Democrats should support a new generation of fighters, please sign here to support our efforts — no contribution necessary.

John — I think we need to ditch business as usual and support a new generation of fighters who will disrupt on Day 1. If you agree, please sign here!
Thank you,
