Dear PFAW Member,

Over the past few months, this once-in-a-lifetime public health and
economic crisis has pulled back the curtain to expose and compound the
deep systemic inequities that the LGBTQ community experiences. Because of
discrimination in health care and employment, LGBTQ people are being
disproportionately impacted by the COVID-19 crisis, all while the Trump
administration advances policies that discriminate.

from discrimination!>>

Instead of turning their attention to the ongoing coronavirus crisis, the
Trump administration has spent precious time and resources rolling back
protections for LGBTQ people seeking health care. If Donald Trump and his
cronies get their way, health care providers will be able to refuse to
serve LGBTQ patients "because of their religious beliefs."

There is a long history of discrimination against LGBTQ people in the
health care system. LGBTQ people are twice as likely to be uninsured, 1 in
4 face wide discrimination when trying to access healthcare, and those who
face discrimination are 3 times more likely to not go to the doctor.

[ [link removed] ]There is no excuse for this continued discrimination! Lives are being

Congress has the power and the authority to act to end legalized
discrimination that is having real impacts on public health.
