You're invited to join us at the steps of Stormont Parliament Buildings tomorrow - Thursday 3rd April - at 12.30pm to stand in remembrance of the 8,490 lives lost to abortion.  

To mark the 5th anniversary of abortion being forced on Northern Ireland, we will bring our poignant 'Baby Shoes' Display where we will lay out baby shoes to form the number 8 4 9 0.

We also held a public commemoration in Belfast City Centre on Saturday (29 March). Hundreds of people passing through the busy Cornmarket shopping area that afternoon saw our display revealing the tragic death toll of unborn babies killed in Northern Ireland. 

Speaking to the media, Director of Precious Life Bernadette Smyth said, “Marking the 5 year anniversary of legalised abortion in Northern Ireland with this poignant display of baby shoes serves as a powerful reminder of the devastating toll of the legislation imposed on Northern Ireland by the Westminster Government on 31 March 2020.

"Each pair of shoes, with an individual and unique name attached, symbolises the life of a precious child lost to abortion.

“The killing of 8,490 lives is like the population of a town the size of Portstewart being wiped out. The number of babies killed by abortion in Northern Ireland in these 5 years is more than double the number of people killed during 30 years of The Troubles.

“The Westminster Government inflicted this carnage on Northern Ireland through their 'Section 9' legislation, but they had the full support of SDLP, Sinn Fein, Alliance Party, UUP, Green Party, and PeopleBeforeProfit, They are all complicit in the deaths of these babies."

Bringing our Baby Shoes display to Stormont tomorrow will ensure the pro-abortion members of the Northern Ireland Assembly will come face-to-face with a stark reminder of the tragic reality of their support for killing unborn babies.

We call on the pro-life people of Northern Ireland to lobby their elected representatives and demand they end this slaughter of our babies. Precious Life will never let the killing of these babies be forgotten. Our 'REPEAL SECTION 9 CAMPAIGN' will continue until full legal protection is restored once again to every unborn baby in Northern Ireland.
