Folks, 67 years after Senator Strom Thurmond spent 24 hours on the Senate floor railing against the Civil Rights Act, my friend and colleague Senator Cory Booker set a new record.

For 25 hours and 5 minutes, Senator Booker stood in solidarity with the millions of Americans being harmed by this administration. 

“In just 71 days, the president has inflicted harm after harm on Americans' safety, financial stability, the foundations of our democracy, and any sense of common decency. These are not normal times in our nation. And they should not be treated as such in the United States Senate.”

It’s ANYTHING but normal for a president and his right-hand billionaire to gleefully rip away support from seniors, kids, and working families. 

Under this vengeful administration, millions will lose their lifelines. 

We need leaders of character like Cory Booker now more than ever. 

However, Senator Booker is up for re-election in 2026, and his historic feat will surely make him MAGA and Musk’s next target. 

We don’t need another Senator who bows to Trump while he guts our social safety nets. Instead, friend, split a donation to keep New Jersey blue and help us continue fighting for you in the U.S. Senate. 

I dare say Senator Booker is our ancestors’ wildest dream.

They battled for every scrap of freedom, every right. We must not take their sacrifices for granted.
