Friend,
A few weeks ago, at a rally at the Cincinnati VA, I met a guy named Tyler, who stood out in the crowd. He stood out because he was carrying an American flag and wearing a “Don’t Tread on Me” t-shirt — two accessories you’re more likely to see at a MAGA rally.
The “Don’t Tread on Me” snake has historically been a symbol of small government and conservatism. It signifies the belief in individual rights, personal freedoms, and a distrust of excessive government control.
How ironic, right? It’s historically been Republicans who have donned the symbol — and now, they’re the party that wants to ban trans people from existing, end birthright citizenship, censor your messages, and give out your private data like candy.
Trump and his administration have become so big, and so intrusive in our lives, that I was right on board with Tyler. We just want to be left alone.
Greg
