** New NFA Division Chief Announced
------------------------------------------------------------
MARTINSBURG, WV – The ATF recently announced that Alphonso Hughes, Division Chief of the National Firearms Act Division, has been promoted to Deputy Assistant Director of Office of Professional Responsibility and Security Operations. His position will be filled by Kevin Murphy, who currently serves as the Director of Industry Operation for the Dallas Field Division. ASA has enjoyed a productive and professional working relationship with Mr. Hughes and we wish him well in his new position. We look forward to continuing our working relationship with the NFA Division under Mr. Murphy's leadership.

In the meantime, ASA will work with ATF leadership to do everything we can to ensure a smooth transition and minimal disruption of NFA transfer processing.
