Elon Musk is driving Tesla off a financial cliff, John.

Ever since he took over DOGE and became best-friend-in-chief to President Trump, we’ve seen enormous losses for Tesla shareholders. Company stock has lost nearly 40% of its value, investor confidence has eroded, and billions of dollars in shareholder value have been lost.

These losses include millions for the New York City pension systems. In fact, $1.26 billion for City workers’ retirement security has shrunk to $831 million.

This is just unacceptable, John. Shareholders deserve better, and NYC’s pensioners deserve better. I’m not going to let Elon Musk screw with retirement security for 800,000 current and future City retirees.

So today, I called on the Law Department to sue Tesla for material misstatements about Musk’s leadership. You can always count on me to stand up to Donald Trump, Elon Musk, and their corrupt, authoritarian regime.

It appears that material misstatements from Tesla misled investors about his role at the company. That’s why the Law Department needs to file securities litigation. Tesla’s performance is floundering, but Musk isn’t really serving as CEO when he’s busy scheming with Trump in Washington.

John, this isn’t the first time I’ve stood up to Elon Musk, Donald Trump, and the corrupt MAGA regime.

Remember in 2023, when we sued the Fox News board for threatening shareholder value by spreading dangerous lies on air?

Or last year, when I stood up to Musk by fighting his attempts to secure a $56 billion payout for himself and instate his own family members on the Tesla board?

Or just a couple months ago, when I was the first to sound the alarm that Musk and Trump stole $80 million from New York City’s bank account?
