	Encountering God with FRANKLIN GRAHAM Addis Ababa, Ethiopia • March 8–9, 2025 We praise God for the opportunity to proclaim the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ in the capital city of Ethiopia, Addis Ababa. The two-day Encountering God outreach was held in Meskel Square, an enormous outdoor public space where thousands stood side by side to hear Franklin Graham share a message from God’s Word. *Temesgen walked 3 miles to the event with a heavy heart.** At 40 years old, with a wife and three young children, he was ready to make a change and turn from the sin in his life. As he listened closely to the message of God’s love through a translator, Temesgen was moved to surrender his life to the Lord. He eagerly received a copy of the New Testament to help him grow in faith.

	Darik rode on one of the many buses headed to Meskel Square after hearing about the event at church. The 17-year-old attended church services with his family, but his choices in life were more influenced by his friends—not God’s Word. As Franklin shared the story of Bartimaeus, Darik knew God was speaking directly to him. When the invitation was given, the teen prayed to receive Jesus Christ as Lord. Clutching his new Bible, he told a prayer counselor that his relationship with God is now his priority. “I want to follow Him and serve Him,” he said.
