let President Trump’s tax cuts expire, forcing middle-class families to pay
thousands more in taxes.

That’s why we’re working to make the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA) permanent.
Thanks to Republican leadership:

* House Republicans passed a budget resolution to bypass the Senate
filibuster and protect your hard-earned money.
* The Ways and Means Committee, on which I serve, is drafting legislation to
extend tax relief and cut taxes even further by eliminating taxes on tips,
overtime pay, and Social Security benefits.
* Speaker Mike Johnson is pushing to pass the full package—tax cuts, border
security, energy reforms, and spending cuts.
Had Democrats been in control, none of this would be happening.



Instead, middle-class families would be facing higher tax rates, a smaller
standard deduction, and a slashed child tax credit in 2026.



But, John, we’re not across the finish line yet. We need to keep the pressure
on.
