John, all across the country, billions of dollars in federal clean energy investments and tax credits have been put to work increasing access to renewable energy, expanding clean car technology and making energy-efficient home improvements.

And now, these investments are at risk. President Donald Trump and his allies in Congress want to rollback these community investments and use the money to pay for tax cuts for big polluters.

For years, the federal government has made investments to help clean up our businesses, cities and communities using clean energy solutions made right here in the U.S.

And the money is already making an impact in communities across the country.

Businesses are building new manufacturing plants, school districts are upgrading to electric buses, and cities, towns, schools, churches and individuals are installing solar and making improvements — like purchasing energy-efficient furnaces, windows and insulation — that will lower electric bills and improve living conditions.

However, if this money gets pulled back, these benefits will disappear before they even begin.
