Trump is about to impose a 25% tariff (tax) on a range of Canadian goods, a move that could end our long friendship and alliance, and likely plunge both our countries into a recession. It is an asinine move, economists across the spectrum agree it will be a disaster, and Trump seems to have no idea whatsoever why the heck he is even doing it. But Senate Democrats are fighting back by forcing a vote to reverse Trump's tariffs And some Republicans – particularly in border states – may support it. And if this passes, we may be able to roll back bad tariffs with others. Imposing these tariffs will have widespread consequences, just to appease Trump's ego. We need the Senate to stop Trump in his tracks by voting to REVERSE these tariffs. And that will only happen if Republicans put the country over Trump, and finally show some guts.
