Only a few days until YDNC's Convention in Fayetteville! We hope you're as excited as we are to reconnect with old friends and hear from some amazing speakers. We just wanted to put some important info at the top of your inbox ahead of the weekend: you can view the full Convention schedule here: ydnc.org/convention
To kick off Convention, we'll be having a welcome reception from 7-9pm on Friday, April 4, hosted by the Young Democrats of Cumberland County. It'll be at Main Event in Fayetteville ( 580 Cross Creek Mall, Fayetteville, NC 28303).
On Saturday, registration will begin at 9am at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Fayetteville ( 4760 Lake Valley Dr, Fayetteville, NC 28303). Our general session will begin right at 9:30am, where we will elect new officers and conduct other business.
Our Awards Luncheon begins at 11:30am at the Embassy Suites, where we'll hear from our wonderful speakers and present awards for some outstanding members of our YDNC community. If you bought a ticket through Actblue or have been given a ticket by someone else, lunch will be provided for you. Attire is business casual.
After lunch, we have two breakout sessions with panels and trainings presented by YDNC members: At 1:30pm, Running for Party Office and Storytelling with Equality NC. At 2:30pm, Kickoff Your Campaign Career and Year-Round Organizing 101.
Finally, caucuses will meet at 3:30pm while CDNC and NCATD hold their elections. |
Our reserved room block at the Embassy Suites Hilton by Fayetteville has filled up. If you need to stay overnight before the convention, you can either book a room through the hotel's normal website or find other accommodations close to the hotel at 4760 Lake Valley Dr, Fayetteville, NC 28303. The general business session begins at 9:30am on Saturday 4/5, so you may not need lodging if you live within a reasonable distance and are willing to get up early on Saturday. |

Kay Hagan Memorial Scholarship |
YDNC is still accepting applications until MIDNIGHT TONIGHT for the Kay Hagan Memorial Scholarship, established in 2024 in honor of the late Senator Kay Hagan.
