Salaam John,

We are at a pivotal crossroads—and the decisions made in today’s elections in Florida and Wisconsin will echo for years to come.

In Florida’s District 6, a dangerous candidate, Randy Fine, is running in a high-stakes special election. His record isn’t just troubling—it’s a direct threat to our communities, our values, and our democracy.

Fine has:

  • Celebrated war crimes and the bombing of Palestinians
  • Called Muslims a “global problem”
  • Labeled the United Nations a “terrorist organization” for holding Israel accountable
  • Threatened Muslim members of Congress

This kind of hate cannot go unchecked. What’s happening in Florida is a wake-up call—not just for the state, but for all of us. Please see here for a full breakdown of Fine's problematic stances.

Meanwhile, in Wisconsin, a critical state Supreme Court election will determine the ideological direction of the court for years to come. With Justice Ann Walsh Bradley retiring, this seat will tip the balance—shaping decisions on civil rights, voting access, and the rule of law.

We can’t afford to sit this one out.

That’s why Defend and Advance is doing the work to:

✅ Expose candidates like Randy Fine who endanger our communities
✅ Support leaders who fight for justice, dignity, and equit

These elections may be local, but their impact is national. Every vote cast is a step toward a future where our rights, our safety, and our voices are protected.

We’re fighting back. But we need your help.
