In a Sunday morning phone interview with NBC News, Donald Trump confirmed
that he is serious about seeking a third term in office as President of
the United States — despite the two-term limit clearly outlined in the
Constitution.
This is sadly not an April fool’s joke,
John. Even Trump said he’s “not joking.”

Constitution forbids it. A coterie of Trump loyalists want to explore
options to change the Constitution so he can run again.
This president, who’s already referred to himself as a king, thinks that
the Constitution and rules of law simply don’t apply to him.
He’s suggesting his poll numbers are so good (fact check: they’re not)
that it could justify a third term, which he claims, “There are methods
which you could do it.”
The Constitution is clear: no one may be elected president more than
twice. But MAGA loyalists are looking for legal loopholes and even
proposing distorting the 22nd Amendment.
