I’m writing today with one simple message: Thank you.

Last night, we passed our first FEC fundraising deadline of the year — our first chance since Trump took office to prove that our movement is still strong, fired up, and ready to defend democracy.

I was humbled by the response of this grassroots team. Our team, made up of teachers, nurses, delivery drivers, retirees, students, veterans, and more, chipped in a few bucks at a time to fuel our pro-democracy movement. And because of folks like you, we were able to reach our fundraising goals and prove that our movement to defend democracy remains strong.

Honestly, humbled doesn't even begin to cover it. So from the bottom of my heart, thank you.

The first few months of this year have been tough — there’s no denying that. Trump has used every weapon in his arsenal to attack democracy, silence his critics, and tighten his grip on power. He’s even gone as far as weaponizing the DOJ to launch a baseless investigation against me in retaliation for blowing the whistle on him nearly 6 years ago.

But if these past few months have taught us anything, it’s that we will prevail if we stand together. Whether you contributed to our pro-democracy movement or simply opened an email like this one, every action sends a clear message that Americans are seeing the catastrophe this administration is causing, and we’re fired up to fight back.

But our fight is just getting started. While I’d love to say the hardest fight is behind us, we both know Trump isn’t slowing down. That means we can’t either.

I promise you this: I will keep fighting for you and for democracy every single day. And I hope you’ll continue standing with me in this fight.
