Feedback on draft greenhouse gas emission calculator

The EQB has contracted with ICF to create a greenhouse gas emission calculator to
answer questions 7 and 18 on the environmental assessment worksheet (EAW). We want your feedback on the draft calculator regarding bugs, calculations, general approach, etc., or other ideas you might have. You can access a copy of the calculator by emailing Steph Aho at [email protected] or downloading it at Engagement HQ [ [link removed] ]. Please submit feedback on the Engagement HQ site by April 18, 2025.

Notice of Public Hearings and Availability of the EA - Gopher State Solar Project

*Notice description: *The Minnesota Department of Commerce (Department) issued an environmental assessment (EA) for the Gopher State Solar project on March 19, 2025. The purpose of the EA is to provide information on the potential human and environmental impacts of the proposed project, possible mitigations for identified impacts, and evaluation of alternatives contained in the scoping decision. Gopher State Solar is proposing to construct an up to 200 MW solar energy generating system in Kingman, Bird Island, and Osceola Townships in Renville County, Minnesota. The proposed project would be located on 977 acres within a 1,645-acre site, and use photovoltaic solar panels mounted on tracking systems. The Minnesota Public Utilities Commission (Commission) will hold public hearings on the application of Gopher State Solar for a site permit for the up to 200 MW photovoltaic solar energy generating system and associated facilities on March 31 & April 1 2025.

Minnesota Duty Officer reports pertaining to fish kills are summarized in the following table, in accordance with 103G.216, REPORTING FISH KILLS IN PUBLIC WATERS, Subd. 2 Reporting Requirement. These reports were received via the Minnesota Duty Officer prior to the submission deadline for this edition of the EQB Monitor.
