Community News and Events

- Sounds of Solidarity Fundraiser April 5th
- A series of musicians, DJs, artists, and more will gather at Demo Spot (2211 16th Street), April 5th 5 - 9 PM to raise funds for our comrades at Norcal Resist. $10 at the door but no one will be turned away for lack of funds.
- Free Mahmoud Khalil NOW!
- SacDSA and the local coalition for Palestine unequivocially demands that Mahmoud and all detained protesters be released NOW! There is no other way to put it, these arrests and detentions are fascist, neo-nazi bullshit! SacDSA will stand with our community in the streets every chance we get until these innocent advocates against genocide are free. And, as a polite reminder, we say this with our whole chest, FUCK TRUMP AND ABOLISH ICE!!!
- Sac Valley Tenants Union - Tenants Rights Workshops
- The SVTU is hosting regular workshops where you can learn more about your rights as renters! Every 2nd and 4th Tuesdays at 3532 Whitney Avenue. Contact [email protected] for more info. Don't let your landlord bully you into silence!
- Victory! Sac County Jail Expansion Paused!
- By a 4 -1 vote, the Sac County Board of Supervisors voted to suspend the jail expansion that our comrades at Decarcerate Sacramento fought so hard against. This does not mean the fight is over and many lives still perish at the hands of the Sacramento Sheriff's Department. But still, a win is a win and we applaud Decarcerate Sacramento and the community members who gave hours upon hours of public comments and testimony. We want care, not incarceration!
