Leadership

Greetings, readers!

While Isaiah is out on parental leave, I’ll be your Leadership newsletter host! This week, we look at the work of supporting immigrant communities—on both sides of the US–Mexico border. First, as nonprofits, mutual aid groups, and activist movements across the country mobilize to protect immigrants, the Immigrant Defense Project shares lessons and strategies. Next, the traditional vision of a college student is out of date with today’s reality; to support immigrant students, our thinking on higher education must change. Then, how are Trump’s hardline immigration policies and increased deportations affecting the nonprofit sector in Mexico? Finally, as philanthropy is being called upon to step up, we revisit an interview with Isabelle Leighton on social justice philanthropy.

As always, we welcome feedback. Please feel free to email us at [email protected].
