                  Fiscal Year 2026 Grant Solicitation Released for the
                          Automobile Theft Prevention Authority


FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:                                                                                        April 1, 2025

LANSING, MICH. The Automobile Theft Prevention Authority (ATPA) is currently accepting grant applications from law enforcement agencies, prosecutors, and non-profit organizations for enforcement, prosecution, community awareness, and prevention programs aimed at reducing motor vehicle theft.

This grant is funded from assessments paid by insurance companies to the ATPA. A 50 percent cash match is required for all applicants, with the exception of non-profit organizations. Funds must be utilized to enhance motor vehicle theft prevention efforts, not to supplant current programs.

To obtain a grant application, visit www.michigan.gov/atpa. The application form is located on the web page under “ATPA Forms.”

The fiscal year 2026 grant period will begin October 1, 2025, and end September 30, 2026.

Grant applications must be submitted to the ATPA on or before June 2, 2025.
