Alleged mother of Elon's kid rips "petulant man-child" amid paternity quarrel
Failed conservative "writer" and alleged mother of one of Elon's 14 children Ashley St. Clair's efforts to extract any kind of paternal recognition from the world's wealthiest man went viral this weekend after she filmed herself selling her $100,000 Tesla to "make up for the 60% cut that Elon made to our son’s child support." The world's most famous ketamine popper responded by publicly questioning whether or not the kid was even his, which prompted St. Clair to reply, "Elon, we asked you to confirm paternity through a test before our child (who you named) was even born. You refused." She continued, "And you weren’t sending *me* money, you were sending support for your child that you thought was necessary… until you withdrew most of it to maintain control and punish me for 'disobedience.' But you're really only punishing your son. It’s all about control with you, and everyone can see it. America needs you to grow up, you petulant man-child." Another stellar display of parental responsibility from the Father(er) of the Year, who spent last weekend posting videos of himself playing Diablo 4 after his estranged daughter Vivian told streamer Hasan Piker that he was "dogsh*t" at video games. This man-child needs to be put in timeout, preferably of the federal variety.

VIDEO OF THE DAY: Musk caught screwing over his own party
One of the "random" winners in Elon Musk's wildly problematic, million-dollar vote-bribing stunt in Wisconsin isn't so random after all. Nicholas Jacobs, a student at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, also happens to be the chairman of Wisconsin's College Republicans chapter AND worked for the campaigns of GOP Sen. Ron Johnson and House Rep. Derrick Van Orden. But wait, there's (always) more! According to the Milwaukee Sentinel Journal, Jacobs also worked as a "ballot chase representative" for none other than Charlie Kirk's Turning Point Action, which has aggressively campaigned for a host of radical right-wingers, especially in Wisconsin. In other words, Jacobs is a deeply embedded GOP operative masquerading as some ordinary Wisconsinite who just happened to win one of Phony Stark's fat checks. It would be bad enough if Elon were just bribing random Wisconsin voters, but even his corruption is corrupt. Elon Musk does not care about ordinary, everyday Americans — Republican or Democrat. Ordinary folks do not come out on top when the system is gamed by literally the world's richest man for his own personal benefit. What further proof do Republicans need to see Elon for who he truly is?

Marine veteran answers call to resist Trump
JoAnna Mendoza for Congress: JoAnna Mendoza served our country for twenty years as a drill sergeant in the United States Marines, training the brave men and women who defend our country overseas, and now she’s ready to defend our nation from Donald Trump’s extremism in the halls of Congress. As a lifelong public servant, JoAnna refuses to sit idly by while Donald Trump and Elon dismantle the systems that provide for our veterans after their service and send countless more vets to the unemployment line with their gutting of the federal government. Will you chip in to help Joanna flip this winnable red seat and take back control of Congress from the GOP?
Right-wing groups across US push new bans to limit "obscene" books in libraries
Anti-intellectual, book-banning crusaders are firing up their censorship cannons once again to blast the shelves of any content they find uncomfortable or incompatible with their radically conservative social views. Emboldened by their autocratic, norm-busting cult leader in the White House, right-wing radicals are advancing more than a hundred state bills targeting BOTH school and public libraries to let legislators and ideologues expand the definition of what is deemed obscene or “harmful to minors” and to limit librarians' abilities to determine which books are in their collections. You won't be surprised to learn that issues concerning race, the LGBTQ community, and sexuality in general are in the crosshairs. Caught up in the attempts at suppressing books are classics like "The Color Purple" and "Slaughterhouse Five." We can't believe we have to say this, but you don't have to read (or let your kids read) books you find objectionable. You are free to choose. But you cannot just piss all over the Constitution and tell other people they have to abide by your beliefs. Why are we having this fight in 2025? Oh, right. We're great again.

Large majority of Europeans support retaliatory tariffs against US, poll finds
Surprise, surprise. A large majority of western Europeans support retaliatory tariffs against the United States, a survey has suggested, if Donald Trump introduces sweeping import duties for major trading partners as expected this week. The wannabe dictator appears likely to unleash a range of tariffs, varying from country to country, on Wednesday, which he has ridiculously dubbed, "Liberation Day." Trump also said last week that a 25% levy on cars shipped to the US would come into force on Thursday. The EU has already pledged a "timely, robust and calibrated" response to Washington’s plans, which experts predict are likely to depress output, drive up prices, and fuel a trade war. A YouGov survey carried out in Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Sweden, and the UK found that if the US tariffs went ahead, large majorities — ranging from 79% of respondents in Denmark to 56% in Italy — favored retaliatory levies on US imports. Congratulations, Donald! You did it. You finally united Europe!

An "administrative error" sends an innocent Maryland father to notorious Salvadoran prison
Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a Maryland father of a 5-year-old disabled child, was swept up by ICE agents even though a judge already granted legal status protecting him from deportation after finding Garcia would likely be persecuted if ever returned to El Salvador. Undeterred and unconcerned with the rule of law, the Trump team shipped him off to the El Salvador’s terrifying “Terrorism Confinement Center” gulag by ACCIDENT anyway. Now the Trump team is arguing that there's nothing they can do because, oops, Garcia is now out of American custody. Garcia fled El Salvador at the age of 16 after being threatened by gangs. He is married to a US citizen, has a child who is also a US citizen, and has no criminal record. There is zero reason for Garcia to have been swept up by ICE in the first place, let alone shipped off to a Salvadoran gulag. Trump's goons could bring him home with a single phone call, but they won't — because the capricious cruelty is the point.

Trump joined by Kid Rock as he signs order to crack down on ticket scalpers
Kid Rock showed up at the White House wearing an absolutely absurd, all-red, America-f*ck-yeah! track suit...and somehow all the decorum pearl-clutchers who screamed at Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy a few weeks ago for not wearing a suit had nothing to say about this show of apparent disrespect for the Oval Office. Weird!
GOP senator says "there’s absolutely gonna be short-term pain" — but supports Trump’s tariffs anyway
Folks, believe them when they say exactly what they mean out loud. Republicans could not be clearer on where they stand when it comes to inflicting economic pain on the American public: they simply do not care. F*ck the price of eggs, the skyrocketing cost of healthcare, the exploding wealth gap, and the chaotic impact Donald Trump's stupid tariff crusades will have on everyday goods. They are backing their cult leader whole hog, and we are all going to needlessly suffer as a result.
Cornell University student targeted by Trump leaves the US
Cornell University graduate student Momodou Taal, a joint citizen of the UK and The Gambia, had his student visa revoked by the Trump administration due to his on-campus protest activities last year as the Israel-Gaza war raged. Taal previously sued to block his deportation, but on Monday posted on Twitter that he had chosen to leave the country "free and with my head held high" after a judge denied his request to delay his deportation. Taal is at least the second international student to opt to leave the US after being targeted for removal by the Department of Homeland Security. The Trump administration conveniently identifies these cases as "self-deportations," an impressively anodyne term for a downright dystopian scheme.
China, Japan, South Korea will jointly respond to US tariffs
Anyone with the most cursory knowledge of 20th century history will tell you that hell would freeze over before Japan, China, and South Korea would all cooperate together on anything — but Donald Trump's reckless and incomprehensible determination to alienate every country in the world is doing just that.
Trump commutes sentence of convicted fraudster who aided GOP effort to impeach Biden
Serial fraudster Jason Galanis was sentenced to 14 years in prison for stealing tens of millions of dollars from a Native American tribe, which he used to buy a Tribeca condo, luxury clothes, and jewelry...but of course he gets a pardon from the most corrupt government in American history because he was willing to tell ridiculous lies in order to fuel the GOP's fruitless Hunter Biden investigation.

Doom and doomer
And in other news
Hope...
