John, it may be April Fools’ Day, but we’re not joking when we say that Donald Trump and his MAGA cronies are making a mockery of our Constitution and rule of law.

They’re giving an unelected, unqualified billionaire unprecedented access to Americans’ personal data. They’re trying to subvert the right to due process to enact dangerous anti-immigrant policies. And they’re working together to attack voting rights, reproductive freedom, and programs like Medicaid and Social Security that millions of Americans depend on.

This is no laughing matter, John. Our democracy is in danger.

But Senator Durbin and other Congressional Democrats are fighting back. They’re working to stop legislation that would roll back hard-earned rights, block MAGA Republicans from confirming Trump’s radical nominees, and keep Medicaid and Social Security fully funded.

It’s hard to slow the chaos coming from the Trump administration. But Democrats are working hard for the American people.
