Sandhill cranes

Hi John,

Trump's attack on the wild has already touched forests, oceans, millions of acres of Alaska, and treasured national monuments.

And now he's coming for birds. In another giveaway to Big Oil, the administration has made clear it intends to let companies kill pelicans, owls, cranes and hundreds of other birds with impunity.

We beat Trump on this before, and we'll do it again. Please give to the Future for the Wild Fund so we can continue our blistering defense of the natural world. Your gift today will be doubled.

Migratory bird populations have plummeted 30% since 1970. More than 1 billion birds are killed every year, which is why penalties are enforced — especially on Big Oil, mining and construction companies — when birds die from oil spills or waste pits.

Trump launched this same attack on birds in his first term, and then lost in court when we sued.

We're doing all we can to save birds and other species sold out by this anti-wildlife administration.

So far we've taken legal action nearly every three days in defense of the wild — our fastest pace ever.

We're moving fast because it's what’s needed: a constant, tireless resistance to the greedy, self-serving autocrats tearing down the laws and agencies that protect the wild. And us.

The Center sued the administration minutes after it took power and haven’t slowed down since.

So much is at stake, including all we've won, like protections for more than 760 species and half a billion acres of protected habitat.

This is the darkest moment we've ever seen for wildlife conservation. The attacks have been relentless. But so, too, has been our response — and we're not going anywhere.

Because the forces we're up against are so ruthless, please start a monthly donation to sustain our defense of the natural world.

For the wild,

Kierán Suckling
