Trump and Elon think they own this country. They think they can gut the public services we all rely on, assault our communities and rights, punish anyone standing in their way, and get away with it. They aim to accumulate unprecedented power and wealth, while leaving the rest of us behind. But we see their billionaire power grab for what it is, and we're not backing down.
On April 5, hundreds of thousands of people across the country are coming together to take action and demand "Hands Off!"—no more looting, no more stealing, no more billionaires raiding our government while working people struggle to survive.
This week, here are two ways you can plug into the Hands Off! actions:

Sign up for the Hands Off! Mass Call for Mobilizing Against Trump's Power Grab on April 1 at 8:00 p.m. ET. Ahead of the day of the April 5 Hands Off! action, we'll gather virtually to hear from movement leaders including, Rahna Epting of MoveOn, Randi Weingarten of the American Federation of Teachers, Ezra Levin of Indivisible, and more to us make sense of the current moment, understand the connection between all the attacks on our communities, public services, and Constitution, and hear what it’s going to take to defend our communities against Trump's power grab.

Join a Hands Off! event in your community on Saturday April 5! This is our chance to send a message that we demand a stop to the billionaire takeover of our country. There are 1,000 events across the country, with over 250,000 people registered! This will be the largest mobilization against Trump and Musk's power grab since they took office in January.
These events are accessible and family-friendly—it's going to take all of us acting together to protect one another and stop the power grab.
A core principle behind Hands Off! is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants join the events peacefully and to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values. This is an opportunity to demonstrate our commitment to peaceful protest as the path to change.
Whether you are mobilized by the attacks on our democracy, the slashing of jobs, the invasion of privacy, or the gutting of our services—this moment is for you.

Trump and Elon Musk destroy everything they can get their hands on and try to punish anyone who stands in their way. Trump recently asserted that a federal judge should be impeached for blocking the administration from doing something it wants to do, even if it's deemed unconstitutional. Trump is working every angle to squash dissent against his extreme agenda—whether it be student protesters, independent reporters, judges, or political opponents.
But we are united and are not giving up.
You may have already heard about, or perhaps have already signed up for, the nationwide Hands Off! April 5 mobilization to fight back against Trump and Musk's power grab. There are already more than 700 events with over 100,000 people planning to show up. It's going to take all of us coming together visibly and repeatedly to stop these power grabs and attacks on our communities.
