*Last Day to Apply for FEMA Individual Assistance and SBA **Disaster Loans*

 

Today is the last day to apply for FEMA disaster assistance and U.S. Small Business Administration low-interest disaster loans for homeowners, renters, nonprofits and businesses impacted by the January wildfires in Los Angeles County.
The deadline for FEMA Individual Assistance and SBA disaster loans is *tonight at 11:59 p.m. PT, Monday, March 31.*

 


* *Apply for FEMA assistance by 11:59 p.m. today Monday, March 31. *Apply at disasterassistance.gov [ [link removed] ], on the FEMA App [ [link removed] ] (available on the Apple App Store or Google Play), with a FEMA representative at a Disaster Recovery Center [ [link removed] ]or call FEMA at 1-800-621-3362. 
* *SBA Disaster Loans*: Apply online at [link removed] [ [link removed] ], at a Disaster or Business Recovery Center [ [link removed] ], or call SBA’s Customer Service Center at 1-800-659-2955 (dial 711 to access telecommunications relay services). For more information, email  [email protected].

Applications for disaster loans may be submitted online using the MySBA Loan Portal at lending.sba.gov [ [link removed] ] or other locally announced locations.

 

*Disaster Unemployment Assistance: Deadline now June 10, 2025. *Los Angeles County workers, business owners, and self-employed people affected by the California firestorms now have until Tuesday, June 10, 2025, to apply for federal Disaster Unemployment Assistance. *Right of Entry Extension*

In addition, the deadline to submit a Right of Entry forms has been extended to April 15. If you have not opted into the Right of Entry program yet—now is the time. You can still change your mind and have the debris removed at your own expense but consider opting into the program to keep your options open.

*Opting-Out: *If you choose to opt-out of the government debris removal program, you must submit an opt-out form here [ [link removed] ]. Property owners who choose to hire private contractors for fire debris removal can then receive an Eaton and Palisades Fire Debris Removal permit via the County’s EPIC-LA system [ [link removed] ].
