Friend, you probably know why I’m writing. It’s a few hours from midnight, and Bill tells me we’re just under $1,100 away from hitting our first public fundraising goal of the year.

It’s an important deadline because it’s public, and it’s coming at the start of what will be a long and difficult campaign season. But this is about more than just dollars: exceeding and surpassing our goal will demonstrate to elected officials, staff, and journalists that the backlash against President Trump and his unelected advisor, Elon Musk, is real and growing.
