But what I’m about to share with you should infuriate every single law-abiding American. A Mexican national, using the stolen identity of a dead American toddler, fraudulently obtained a U.S. passport, joined our military, and lived for decades in our country under a false name. He was even deported back to Mexico - and then allowed to reenter because our system mistakenly believed he was a U.S. citizen. All while he was wanted for the murder of a nine-month-old baby in Tucson. This is more than just a tragic failure of our immigration system - this is a state-wide disgrace. I’m Mark Finchem, your Arizona State Senator, and I’ve had enough. Since getting elected, I’ve been hard at work writing and fighting for legislation that puts Arizona’s safety first—laws that crack down on illegal immigration, demand real border security, and hold bureaucrats accountable when they fail us.
