Hi there,
Earlier this month, Seth Meyers asked me if the Democratic Party had a plan. I told him what I think we need to do: as Donald Trump drives up prices and guts health care, we need to get out and show people what we’re doing to deliver results on things that matter to people.
What does that look like?
This month, I visited the Berkshires to announce my $8 billion investment in our transportation infrastructure. I released my Energy Affordability Agenda which immediately lowered energy bills by $220 million, saves another $5.8 billion for electric and gas customers over the coming years, and implements a first in the nation discount for middle-income families.
I visited the South Coast to announce that for the first time in 65 years, passenger rail is back — delivering on something promised by the last 7 administrations. I testified to the Ways and Means Committee about how my budget will protect crucial rights and freedoms that could come under fire from Washington D.C., and I condemned Trump’s billions in cuts for NIH and public health grants.
The best way to show that a better future is possible? Stand up for what’s right and deliver results. That’s what I’m going to keep doing.
We have a few hours left to close the gap on our grassroots fundraising goal for March. If you want to power our work to make Massachusetts stronger and build a better future, you can chip in at the link below.
