Trump administration drops lawsuit against Georgia’s voter suppression bill
Attorney General Pam Bondi announced she is directing the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) to dismiss its lawsuit against Georgia’s massive voter suppression law. The announcement makes this the fifth Biden-era DOJ pro-voting lawsuit that’s been dropped under Trump.
Despite the DOJ withdrawing from the Georgia lawsuit, litigation brought by pro-voting and advocacy groups is still ongoing in both district court and a federal appeals court.
