While Donald Trump and Elon Musk are cutting the critical programs our communities rely on, I’m leading the charge to protect our communities, strengthen Social Security and health care, and advance policies that uplift
every American.
Just this past week, I hosted a telephone town hall with former Social Security Administrator Martin O’Malley, where we heard directly from the people most impacted by these reckless policies.
More than 22,000 constituents joined to voice their concerns – about the rising cost of living, skyrocketing housing and grocery prices, and the urgent need to protect health care access for elders and children through Apple Health and Medicaid.
We’ve heard from veterans worried about devastating VA cuts that could impact over 120,000 veterans in the South Sound. And across our communities – K-12 schools, higher education institutions, small businesses, nonprofits – there’s growing anxiety over federal funding uncertainty that threatens stability and opportunity for so many.
As Chair of ASPIRE PAC, Secretary of the Congressional Black Caucus, and a member of the DNC, I’m working every day to deliver on our promises and stand firm against MAGA extremism.
