Urge your state’s Democratic National Committee (DNC) leaders to support the resolution for an official climate debate between the presidential candidates.

Friend,

This week, DNC officials are gathering for their summer meeting in San Francisco -- and they plan on putting our campaign for a climate debate up to a vote.

After thousands of us spoke up, DNC members agreed to consider a climate debate and are expected to vote on an official resolution in the coming days. Unless we keep up the pressure, we might not have the votes to pass it.

Act now: Contact your state’s DNC officials and urge them to reflect the people’s demands by supporting the resolution for a climate debate: [link removed]

The complexities of the climate crisis cannot be addressed in sound bites or one-liners. In 2019, we cannot afford to spend any more time on softball questions that fail to recognize the urgency of this moment and its impact for generations to come.

We deserve a platform that allows for a meaningful dialogue on one of the greatest challenges of our time.

The American people are tired of political pageantry. If we are going to be successful in mobilizing voters -- especially the #youthvote -- next November, then we have to show that their votes and their voices will bring the change needed to care for our communities and support a more sustainable, equitable future.

Call your DNC members and tell them to vote YES on the climate debate resolution this week: [link removed]

Thank you,
