Friend,
School safety should never be political, but right now, some in Florida are trying to weaken bipartisan protections that have kept kids and schools safe for seven years.
Just a few weeks ago, I stood before a Florida House Committee defending the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High Schools Public Safety Act.

A law that:
- Prevented anyone under 21 from buying firearms
- Established red flag protections
- Funded mental health resources
- Provided funds to harden our schools
- Created the Florida State Office of Safe Schools
This act was a bipartisan victory in the legislature. It was signed by a Republican governor, championed by law enforcement, educators, and veterans, and has proven to keep Florida’s students and teachers safe at school.
Now, it’s under attack.
This isn’t partisan. School safety should never be a partisan issue.
With just hours left before our end-of-quarter deadline, we need to send a powerful message: We will not let reckless politicians undo life-saving protections.
HELP US KEEP SCHOOLS SAFE →
Friend, Stand With Parkland is fighting back. In the past three months alone, we’ve fought to improve school safety, stop dangerous rollbacks to firearms violence prevention laws, worked alongside educators to strengthen school safety practices, and traveled to Washington to demand action from Congress.
These aren’t political victories — they’re life-saving measures. But we can’t hold the line without you.
We’re asking for $25 to reach our end-of-quarter goal so we can defend these protections and push for stronger safeguards. Chip in before midnight to help us keep up the fight.

These protections work. Let’s not wait for another tragedy to prove it.
Thank you,
