Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Barbara Davidson was confronted by a police officer during her coverage of protests in LA. The officer ordered her to move, and Davidson responded by showing her credentials and explaining she was a member of the press.
The officer responded by shoving her from behind as she walked away -- causing Davidson to fall down and strike her head on a fire hydrant.
Across the country, this abuse of journalists is starting to look like the rule -- not the exception.
