Dear Friend,
Our freedom to vote is under attack. Congress is currently considering the SAVE Act [[link removed]] , a bill that poses a serious threat to our democracy. The House is expected to vote on the bill this week. Now is the time to stand up and stop the SAVE Act.
Take Action to Stop the SAVE Act Now [[link removed]]
The SAVE Act would impose extreme restrictions on voter registration, restrictions that would disproportionately impact young people, married women, people of color, and low-income communities. This bill aims to:
* Require you to bring hard copy citizenship documents (like a birth certificate or passport) in person every time you register to vote or update your voter registration with your new address. Providing your SSN or driver’s license number on your voter registration application will not be enough, only providing citizenship documents in person
* Effectively eliminate online, mail-in, and voter registration drives — making modern, convenient, and popular tools many Americans rely on inaccessible.
* Force states to irresponsibly purge voter rolls regularly without requiring notification to affected voters — meaning even more voters would have their registration cancelled without ever knowing it.
The SAVE Act doesn’t protect democracy, it undermines it. We cannot afford to stay silent. We must stop the SAVE Act, but we need your help. Contact your representatives and spread the word.

After you contact your Representatives, share our explainer on The SAVE Act [[link removed]] with your friends, family, and community to get conversations started about the harmful impacts this bill could have on voter registration and civic participation.
Thank you for standing with us in defense of our democracy.
