Now’s the time to end taxpayer funding for abortion! As Congress goes to work on the budget and appropriations for the next fiscal year, there is the opportunity to finally prevent funds from going to entities that provide abortions. The Educational Choice for Children Act (ECCA) is a $10 billion federal scholarship tax credit that would expand school choice to all 50 states and help parents of up to two million students choose a school or education service that works best for their child. It would be funded by individual and business contributions to non-profit scholarship granting organizations and donors would receive a 100% non-refundable federal tax credit. Scholarships could be used for tuition, tutoring, special needs services, education technology, on-line courses, or curriculum materials.
